Ballroom dance classes Paris

Discover the schedule of ballroom dance classes with our dance teachers Laure, Séverine, Rabih, Fabrice, Raed, Bruno, Gaëlle and Ghadi.

From level 1 to level 6 (competition) we welcome you whatever your level. The dances taught are standard dances (English Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow foxtrot and Quickstep) and Latin dances (Samba, Chacha, Rumba Paso doble and Jive).

When are the ballroom dancing classes?

Level 1

Rabih: Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Gaelle: Wednesday at 7 p.m.

Bruno: Thursday 7pm (at Salsabor)

Ghadi: Thursday at 7:30 p.m. (in Boulogne)
Fabrice: Saturday at 10am

This course allows you to discover ballroom dancing through simple steps. At the end of the year and by diligently following this program, you will be able to dance the basic steps of the chacha, rumba, paso doble, tango, slow waltz and quick step to music. If you are a dancer you will succeed in initiating these simple steps, if you are a dancer you will know how to follow them. You can take one or two level 1 courses to introduce yourself to ballroom dancing with the IDS teacher you prefer.

Level 3

Séverine and Ghadi: Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Raed: Thursday at 8 p.m.

Ghadi: Thursday at 9:30 p.m. (in Boulogne)

Fabrice: Saturday at 12 p.m. (Level 3 leisure)

On the program: The 10 dances with more advanced choreographies that require more in-depth work. With each choreography you will discover new figures corresponding to the first series of the sports dance competition. This level completes level 2. At the end of the year, you will have evolved technically and will be able to dance more easily.

Level 5

Séverine and Ghadi: Thursday at 9 p.m.

Dance technique is the heart of the course and not choreography. You will delve deeper into the specificities of each dance which require significant awareness and technical mastery.
Shorter choreography than in level 4 but of a technical level requiring serious training.

Danse de salon solo team compétiteurs 

Séverine: Wednesday at 7 p.m.

This course is intended for experienced individual ballroom dancers, aiming to perfect their technique and preparation for competitions.

Level 2

Rabih: Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Laure: Thursday at 7 p.m.

Ghadi: Thursday at 8:30 p.m. (in Boulogne)
Fabrice: Saturday at 11am

We review and enrich your vocabulary of dance steps. The first 6 dances seen in level 1 are revised and enriched with new steps. In level 2, we discover the other 4 dances: samba, jive, slow foxtrot and Viennese waltz. At the end of the year you are introduced to the ten dances and you know how to dance to all ballroom music without help from your teacher.

Level 4

Rabih: Tuesday at 9 p.m.
Raed: Thursday at 9 p.m.

A year where the choreographies approach compulsory series figures corresponding to the intermediate series in competition. All the compulsory figures can be seen in this class. You therefore have all the basic tools to have fun in a dance evening. The choreographers of this level will sometimes offer you a free figure from a higher series to introduce you to level 5 of the school.

Level 6

Rabih: Tuesday at 10 p.m.

Laure: Tuesday at 9:15 p.m. (standard)

Level suitable for competitors.

A different theme each time, exercises and suggestions to improve your technical precision, your physical condition and your artistic sense.

Latin Ballroom Dance Beginner

Ghadi: Saturday at 1 p.m.

 

This course is for ballroom dancers who want to specialize in Latin dance. You will learn the 5 Latin dances: Rumba, Chacha, Jive, Samba, Paso Doble.
